The 3rd Edition of the Corporate Awards Set to take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast

After its 2016 maiden edition in Cameroon and a second edition last year in Gabon, the Corporate Awards which aims at recognizing excellence in people management is set to host a 3rd edition on November 30th, 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Abidjan.

This Pan African program is an initiative of FabAfriq PR which aims at encouraging positive change, innovation, create role models and provide a platform for people to excel. Headed by a Board of Directors made up of top executives from different sectors, it is a platform for companies to leverage their strengths and collaborate to impact initiatives, campaign for best practices, influence and crack unsolved challenges faced by both the employers and the employees with regards to people management. The process consists of nominating companies from different sectors to compete in the seven award categories. The winner in each category is chosen via tallying public votes and through internal research content analysis.

Over the years, reputable companies from various sectors like Addax Petroleum, Sobraga Gabon, SUNU Assurances, Continental Reinsurance, Ecobank (Cameroon and Gabon), Biopharma, Yoomee, United Bank of Africa, Publicis One, Zenith Insurance amongst others have been part of this change project. True to its HR goals, after each edition participating companies are required to review their HR policies and redefine internal policies to give them a better chance at competing in their country’s second edition. Also winning companies are recommended to share their strategies with other companies in a bid to serve as a benchmark for these companies as well as ensure the general growth of an economy with more efficient HR policies which is the major goal of the award.

Like past editions, this year promises to have over 30 participating companies plus a wide international and local media coverage. The award day opens with the Women in Leadership Summit which is a platform for leading ladies in the corporate world to share their corporate story with working women and men who aspire to be on top of the corporate ladder someday. The Corporate Awards gala night will comprise of a speech from the President of the Board of Directors, handing over trophies to companies, dining, wining, animation and networking.
